House Vypren
Songs speak to us through the years of the Fall of Maidenpool and the death of its boy king, Florian the Brave, Fifth of That Name; of the Widow's Ford, where three sons of Lord Darry held back the Andal warlord Vorian Vypren and his knights for a day and a night - The World of Ice and Fire[1]
House Vypren is an Andal house operating in the southern Riverlands. Led by the zealous Vorian Vypren, they are known for trying to seize the lands from House Darry and enforcing the Faith of the Seven by force.[2]

History[edit]
Like many Andal adventurers, House Vypren arrived with warbands of steel‑armed soldiers and Septons preaching the Seven. Rather than win converts by persuasion, Vorian Vypren’s followers threatened the First Man with sword or forced labour, compelling allegiance and attendance at their newly erected septs.
Vorian Vypren established his power by ambushing the heirs of Lord Darry, slaying already one son. Ambitious and cunning, he seeks not only to humble House Darry but also to outwit King Tristifer IV Mudd — hoping to parlay his gains into an alliance with neighboring Andal lords or even First Men rulers.
Vorian Vypren attempted to seize the lands of the Darrys by force, hoping at the very least to capture Darry Castle so he could negotiate from a position of strength. However, King Tristifer arrived swiftly from the north, defeated him, and drove him from the region. Vorian was forced to flee toward Maidenpool, where King Florian captured him and then released him on the condition that he never again set foot in his lands.
Afterwards, Vorian made his way to the territories of Armistead Vance and, for the time being, joined his campaigns.
Under Armistead’s patronage, Vorian transformed his militant company into a religious-military order known as The Green Order, dedicated to the spread of the Faith of the Seven. The order gained influence particularly in the Westerlands, where Queen Elsa took one of the order’s septas as her personal advisor.
During the the Clash of Six Kings, the Green Order fought alongside Armistead and Brogg Bracken. It was in this conflict that Florian Mooton was captured and later executed by Vorian Vypren after refusing to convert, a moment that solidified the order’s reputation among zealous Andal factions.
Following the war, the order continued its mission westward, where lands around Silverhill had been promised to them as a reward for their service.
