House Charlton
House Charlton are a House of First Men origin from the Rivers and the Hills. They are sworn to House Mudd. Their seat is Hullfort.

History[edit]
According to legend, the ancestors of House Charlton settled along a great river. While others continued deeper into the boglands, they remained near the water, which sustained their early communities. Over time, they came to revere the great white trees found in the nearby woods, establishing sacred groves in their settlements.
During a time of great hardship marked by bitter winters and failed harvests a leader emerged who guided the people to a new home in a fertile glade. There, they built his hall from husks and planted a new grove, where a unique plant began to grow among the white trees. Seen as a sign from the gods, this marked a turning point. The man who led them took the name Cēorl, meaning "free man." Though he fathered no children, those who lived in his hall and followed him took his legacy as their own. In time, they became known as the Charltons, the free men and women of Cēorls settlement.
During the reign of King Arik Mudd, House Charlton, already weakened after losing most of its forces in the struggle against the Ironborn during the battle for Seaguard, came under attack. The aggressors were Crannogmen led by House Marsh and warriors from Clan Horn, who sought to seize Charlton lands. With support from the Mudds, as well as House Gaunt and House Mandrake, the Charltons managed to repel the invaders. However, relations with their northern neighbors deteriorated further as a result.
After the Ironborn struck at the Rivers and the Hills in an attempt to gain access to the Trident, Magnar Guy lost much of his lands when King Arik Mudd himself proved unable to win the war.
