House Miller
House Miller of Brushmill is an Andal house near the Wendwater River. They are sworn to House Bywater. Their seat is Brushmill.
The Miller sigil depicts per cross blue and white shield, a quill and a hammer crossed. Their words are "With Hammer and Quill".
History
The Millers came over the sea from Andalos, led by Morgan Miller alongside Kevan Pyle and Gylbert Gaunt as a single fleet, seeking new lands in Blackwater Bay and the Baywater Woods in the first years of the Coming of the Andals. When they landed, all three adventurers and their followers warred with House Bywater to take their lands.
The Gaunts secured the most land and the Pyles gained the formidable fort at Greyhelm, but the Millers failed to take any castles. Desperate to secure a home for themselves, Morgan betrayed the other Andals and offered his blade to Gatrel Bywater as a vassal, and beat stopped further conquest by the Gaunts and the Pyles. Since then the Millers have been regarded as pariahs and traitors of the Andal world.
Notable Members
- Lord Morgan Miller, an Andal adventurer who founded House Miller, betrayed his fellow Andals, and was welcomed into the Stormlands by the Bywaters as their vassals. He was the head of House Miller during the reign of Erich VII Durrandon.
