Arms of House Pyle

House Pyle of Greyhelm is an extinct Andal house that was once along the south coast of Blackwater Bay. They were sworn to none. Their seat was Greyhelm, a grey castle with grey walls manned by greyer men.

The Pyles blazoned their banners with a grey iron greathelm on white. Their words were "Guard the Mind".

History

The Pyles came over the sea from Andalos in the first years of the Coming of the Andals, led by Ser Kevan Pyle alongside Ser Gylbert Gaunt at the head of a combined Andal fleet to find new lands in the Blackwater. They warred with House Bywater for their lands, with Kevan capturing the formidable fort of Greyhelm.

They were made extinct when the last Lady of the House, Lyra, was executed by Lord Gatrel Bywater.
