House Lantell

House Lantell are a house of mixed ethnic origins, situated on Lann's Point in the Westerlands. Their original seat was in the Kynlands, though later moved to Kayce.

History

Like House Lannister of Casterly Rock, and House Lannister of Lannisport, House Lantell claim descent from Lann the Clever, the semi-legendary figure who usurped the rule of Casterly Rock from House Casterly, approximately two hundred years before the Andal Invasions began in earnest. Whereas the Lannister family declare themselves to be directly in the line of kings, however - Houses Lanny, Lantell and Lanette claim to be descendants of Lann the Clever through his fabled copulation with multiple Casterly women, resulting in the rapid growth of the dynasty during the early years of Lannister Rule.

In time, these descendants began to divide into certain groups, and travel out from the Rock in search of their own keeps and lands. House Lantell travelled westwards towards Lann's Point, settling in what would be termed the Kynlands.
