House Hoare is one of the great houses of the Ironborn. They rule over much of the eastern half of Great Wyk from Blackblood and Hoare Castle. They claim descent from the Grey King and Torgon the Terrible.

Harras 'Hairy Harry' Hoare - A former Salt King of Great Wyk. Known for his finely groomed beard and for making a claim at Kingsmoot, where he was murdered by Wolmer Codd.
Harwin 'Hairless Harry' Hoare - The young son and heir of Harras Hoare.
