Hairy Harry Hoare

Harras "Hairy Harry" Hoare was an Ironborn Salt King of Great Wyk from House Hoare. He nominated himself to be High King of the Iron Islands at a Kingsmoot in 31 A.C. before being murdered by Wolmer Codd.

Appearance

Harras Hoare was known to have long hair and a long, very well-groomed beard to match. He liked for his men to call him Harras "Finehair," but most called him "Hairy Harry" instead.

History

Early Life

Harras Hoare was born in 16 B.I. on Great Wyk. At an early age he was named Salt King of Great Wyk. In that role, he traveled farther from the Iron Islands than any other Ironborn captain of his time. It was on one of these raiding expeditions that he encountered Andals in the Narrow Sea.

Slaughter of Nagga's Hill

Harras would make a play for the High Kingship at the Kingsmoot in 31 A.C. He brought gifts of fine iron and steel which he'd looted from Andal warlords, and in his speech he proposed using the arrival of the Andals to make gains on mainland Westeros.

Ultimately, the Kingsmoot was disrupted by the attack of Urron Greyiron's conspirators, and Harras had his throat slit by Wolmer Codd.
