House Darry of Darry are a House of First Man origin from the Rivers and the Hills. They are sworn to House Mudd. Their seat is Castle Darry.

History

Joseth Darry's lands was attacked by the Andal Warlord Vorian Vypren, as his lands form the southernmost border of the River and the Hills. One of his sons was killed in the attacks and Joseth swore revenge.

Afterwards, the Andal warlord attempted once again to attack and seize Darry, but Joseth Darry held out long enough for King Tristifer IV Mudd to arrive with his host and defeat Vorian Vypren. Thus, Darry was protected once more.

After Andahar 'the Depraved' Den Brove arrived in the River and the Hills and established his war camp at Stillside, the Darrys once again came under threat. Magnar Jerrel 'the Insubordinate' Darry, King Arik Mudd, Lord Wilbert Mallister, and Lord Loras Farring joined forces against the Andal warlord, drove him back, and liberated Darry.

Shortly after, tragedy struck House Darry. Jerrel “the Insubordinate” Darry died of old age, and his son Osfryd followed soon after, his heart failing at a young age. Leadership passed to a child heir. Marq Gaunt exploited the situation, murdering the young Jerrel Darry and plunging the house into chaos. In response, Elton Darry seized control and sought revenge against the Gaunts, but his attempted assassination of one of Marq Gaunt’s sisters ultimately failed.
