Artys Brax is knight of House Brax. He followed the Andal warlord Armistead Vance across the narrow Sea.

Ser Artys Brax of the Purple Andals.
Arms of House Brax. Words: ‘Lead the Charge‘.

Personality

Artys is depicted as a dutiful knight, loyal to his faith and to his lord. He is a devoted husband and father, often balancing his martial obligations with deep care for his wife and son. Though physically diminished by age and illness, he remains resolute and principled. He values clarity and honesty with his family and prepares carefully for their safety in times of war.

Though weary and burdened, Artys retains a strong sense of identity and pride.

History

Ser Artys was lord of his house at the time of the Valyrian Freehold’s expansion into the eastern kingdom of Myrth. After receiving word of the destruction of cities such as Dyaesar, Vyrario, and Tregillis, Artys met with Armistead Vance and agreed to join the Andal host fleeing west. Together with other houses, House Brax launched the Purple Fleet, a mass exodus of ships carrying people, supplies, and livestock from the port of Foraan.

Artys personally commanded his ship during the voyage across the Narrow Sea, leading his household through flame and chaos. Upon arriving in Westeros, he settled with his house near Castle Armistead, where he became one of Lord Vance’s trusted bannermen.
