Osric Ryder (Lord Commander)
Osric Ryder was a Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. He was born into House Ryder. He was elected Lord Commander in 40 A.I. and was preceded in his post by Lord Commander Arik Frost. He was a brother to King Royce Ryder of the Rills. He died in 58 A.I. of old age, and was succeeded in his post by Owen Dustin.
Life Pre-Night's Watch[edit]
Osric was the younger brother of Royce Ryder. He joined the Night's Watch at the age of 20 in 10 A.I.
The Night's Watch[edit]
Osric joined the order of the Stewards after taking his vows. After 30 years of sworn brotherhood, he was elected Lord Commander after the death of Arik Frost.
He led the Night's Watch ably for almost two decades before he died of old age.
