House Sunglass of Sweetport is an Andal house ruling the isle of Sweetport Sound in the Blackwater Bay near the Hook. They are sworn to House Massey. Their seat is Sweetport, a rocky sea-castle overlooking a long stretch of beach.

Their blazon is composed by seven golden seven-pointed stars in a ring on white. Their words are "By Seven Stars".

History

One of the more zealous Andal houses, House Sunglass were among the first invaders during the Coming of the Andals. Led by the fierce warrior Lymond Sunglass, they drove out the First Men of House Sweet from Sweetport Sound remarkably quickly and established one of the earliest Andal colonies in Westeros.

Since their arrival however they enjoyed less than harmonious relations with the nearby Stormmen, particularly with House Sweet, who the Andals regard as godless barbarians and squatters.

In 38 A.I. the pirate-king Justin Milk-Eye, heeded by the grievances of his vassals against the Sunglass' and Quinces, would land on Sweetport Sound and slaughter the Sunglass host in mere days, laying siege to their keep. In mere months the garrison would be overpowered, and the house in it's entirety captured. But due to the invasion of Erich VII Durrandon of the Hook, they were confined to their quarters for the next two years. In 40 A.I., Justin would go to Sweetport Sound himself, freshly victorious over the Durrandons to execute Lymond Sunglass, beheading him with a single stroke of his axe. But he allowed his son, Parmion Sunglass, to remain as lord if he swore fealty and restored the weirwoods. Parmion's sister, Bronwyn, would be married off to Stevron Sweet, to make peace between the two houses and put an end to their feud.
