Arms of House Reaper

House Reaper of Giant's Lair is a First Man house from Shipbreaker Bay. They are sworn to House Durrandon. House Reaper's seat is Giant's Lair.

The Reapers have taken a severed head with a scythe, on tan, for their sigil. Their words are "Where the Small Stood Tall".

History

A little-known house beyond the Stormlands, the Reapers of the Giant's Lair claim descent from Rogar Reaper, a legendary farmhand from the town of Reaper's Rest whose only daughter was taken by a man-eating giant. Legend tells that Rogar took up his scythe, went to the giant's home atop a hill and slew it in three furious blows. Afterwards, he is said to have taken his head for a trophy, and his wife for a prize.

Rogar returned to the Giant's Lair, raising a hall with beams made from the giant's bones, and buried his daughter beneath. The sons that succeeded him were famed as being large and hardy, traits that are common in all the scions of House Reaper.
