House Mullendore of Nightsong is a Andal house from the Reach. House Mullendore's seat is Nightsong, an ancient castle that has repelled Dornish incursions for thousands of years, and is famed for its 'Singing Towers'.

History[edit]

House Mullendore established its presence in Westeros in the year 71, when Ser Robert Mullendore, later called “the Wolf Slayer,” crossed the Narrow Sea with his family and followers. The Mullendores first took part in the Defiance of Goldengrove alongside House Risley in opposition to the Reach, though their early fortunes were marred by the death of Ser Robert’s heir, Ser Mallor Mullendore, in 81, only ten years after their arrival.

By 82, Ser Robert had entered the service of the Rock, becoming a knight of the West under the reign of the Lannister king Tyrion and later on Tybolt. Over the following decades he rose in prominence, holding the titles of Master of the Butterfly Knights, Knight of the West, and member of the Council of the West under King Tyrion “the Lion King” Lannister. He died in 106, remembered as the first of his house to firmly establish himself in Westeros.

In 110, the Mullendores supported the Gardeners in their campaigns, joining in the attack against House Caron at Nightsong. Three years later, in 113, they secured Nightsong itself. From that time onward, the Mullendores bent the knee to the Gardener kings of the Reach, establishing themselves as marcher lords tasked with guarding the southern frontier.

House Mullendore found influence with the Gardeners in a different way. Falora Mullendore became the lover of King Garth “the Green” Gardener and bore him many sons, unlike his queen.
