History

For centuries, House Moonfell ruled quietly from Rathmore, a coastal stronghold nestled along the bountiful shores of the Lower Vale. Far enough from the reach of the great First Man kings, they thrived through trade with their neighbors. Their gods were once the nameless ones of root and stone. With fertile hills behind them and fish rich coastline, the Moonfells lived undisturbed, respected if not renowned.

That peace endured until Lord Derek Moonfell, driven by love, wed an Andal woman and found in her faith a new life. His conversion was voluntary, a rare thing for the First Men, and his devotion soon saw him joined under the Seven by a septon in service to Lord Corwyn Corbray. In pledging his house to the Fingers, Derek placed Moonfell among the some of the first of the First Men lords to kneel of their own accord.
