History
The Millers came over the sea from Andalos, led by Ser Morgan Miller alongside Ser Kevan Pyle and Ser Gylbert Gaunt as a single fleet, seeking new lands in Blackwater Bay and the Baywater Woods in the first years of the Coming of the Andals. When they landed, all three adventurers and their followers warred with House Bywater to take their lands.
The Gaunts secured the most land and the Pyles gained the formidable fort at Greyhelm, but the Millers failed to take any castles. Desperate to secure a home for themselves, Morgan betrayed the other Andals and offered his blade to Lord Gatrel Bywater as a vassal, and their combined forces, First Men and Andals united, stopped further conquest by the Gaunts and the Pyles. Since then the Millers have been regarded as pariahs and traitors of the Andal world, and the first of a race of strangers to the Stormmen.
Notable Members
- Ser Morgan Miller, an Andal adventurer who founded House Miller, betrayed his fellow Andals, and was welcomed into the Stormlands by the Bywaters as their vassals. He was the head of House Miller during the reign of Erich VII Durrandon.
