House Horpe of the Ring are a noble house of Andal origin and a vassal of House Gardener of Highgarden. The seat of House Horpe is The Ring.

History

The Dunns were defeated by the Andal warlord Lorent Horpe. When House Gardener offered to assist in reclaiming Oldhills, the Dunns declined. Bradwell Dunn insisted on challenging Lorent Horpe to single combat for the right to reclaim his ancestral seat, despite King Galayn Gardener’s offer to fight in his stead. Bradwell lost the duel, and Oldhills passed to House Horpe, while the Dunns were forced to bend the knee and became vassals under the Andals.
