House Hamfast

They wore halfhelms, and had thin bronze disks sewn to their long leather shirts. Many wielded bronze axes, though a few were chipped stone. More had short stabbing spears with leaf-shaped heads that gleamed redly in the light from the burning stables.

House Hamfast of Bronzeaxe is a First Man house in Cape Wrath. They are sworn to the Green Queen. Their seat is Bronzeaxe.

House Hamfast has taken a hamster bearing a bronze-axe on purple for their sigil.

History

Like House Brownhill, House Hamfast's history begins with the violent conquest of the Rainwood by Durran Bronze-Axe in the Age of Heroes, with their own seat being the site of the most violent battles between the Durrandons and the Children of the Forest and the men loyal to them, hence the name of their seat, "Bronzeaxe". In mockery of the conqueror, they took a hamster bearing his namesake as their sigil, and have since been fiercely opposed to Durrandon rule.
