House Fisher

House Fisher once ruled the Riverlands before the rise of House Mudd, but today they survive only as petty kings of Misty Isle. Once powerful sovereigns, the Fishers saw their dominion eroded by raids from Vale hill clans, Ironborn incursions, Storm King invasions, and finally the ascent of the Mudds. [1]

History

In the Age of Heroes the Fishers claimed the title *Kings of the Rivers and Hills*, ruling from their seat on Misty Isle. Over centuries they defended their borders against Mountain Clans of the Vale and coastal raids by Ironborn longships. Yet successive losses—first to storm‑raiders from the south and later to the uprise of the Mudds’—shattered the Fishers from power and reduced the house to minor status.

Throst Fisher inherited the tiny realm of Misty Isle from his father, whose long reign kept the Fisher name from vanishing entirely. With no surviving sons and only daughters to succeed him, the future of House Fisher grows uncertain as neighbouring lords eye their weakened seat. [2]

Seat and Region

  • Misty Isle — A small rocky island guarding the mouth of the Blackwater Rush. Its keep serves as the lone stronghold of House Fisher. In recent years the isle has become a target for raiders seeking easy plunder.

Notable Members

  • Lord Throst Fisher — Current Ruler of Misty Isle; known for his love of music and company, though criticized for lacking a male heir to carry on the Fisher legacy.
