After Andahar 'the Depraved' Den Brove arrived in the River and the Hills and established his war camp at Stillside, the Darrys once again came under threat. Magnar Jerrel 'the Insubordinate' Darry, King Arik Mudd, Lord Wilbert [[House Mallister|Mallister]], and Lord Loras [[House Farring|Farring]] joined forces against the Andal warlord, drove him back, and liberated Darry.

Shortly after, tragedy struck House Darry. Jerrel “the Insubordinate” Darry died of old age, and his son Osfryd followed soon after, his heart failing at a young age. Leadership passed to a child heir. Marq [[House Gaunt|Gaunt]] exploited the situation, murdering the young Jerrel Darry and plunging the house into chaos. In response, Elton Darry seized control and sought revenge against the Gaunts, but his attempted assassination of one of Marq Gaunt’s sisters ultimately failed.
