It was Corwyn that lead House Corbray in securing its dominion over the centre of the Vale, successfully with the help of House Arryn subjugating the mountain clans to his north and defeating the coalition led by House Royce and their king Yorwyck. A hard man, his acts of violence towards first men was well known killing entire villages and forcing children and women to convert or join their men. It was his ruthlessness that cut a path for his Houses rise and the establishment of the faith of the Seven in the Vale. Yet it was this very same ruthlessness that drove a wedge between himself and his own son. Despite not being a king, he is seen as the greatest of the Corbray lords, a peak that was never eclipsed.

The son of Corwyn Corbray, Qyle was the first of the Corbray to crown himself king formally beginning the age of the Kingdom of the Fingers. Qyles rule started contested with many of his lords disliking his heritage as half andal half first man, and many disagreeing with him taking a commoner as a wife, setting aside his already lawfully married wife to do so. IT was during his time as king that formally saw House Hersy integrated into the realm proper, a feat that gave him much internal power against his detractors. His rule was a hard one, with it being constantly contested by the Bronze King Robar Royce in a series of wars that would last the entirety of the twos life. These wars saw the balance of power shift multiple times, but would end with House Royce on the ascendency and Qyles own vassals growing in discontent.
