Arms of House Belmore. Words: 'Ringing Out'

House Belmore are a House of First Men descent, settled in the Northern foothills of the Mountains of the Moon, where thick pine forests and steep, stony passes shape both their land and their people. Their seat is Strongsong.

History

House Belmore has long ruled from Strongsong, a mighty holdfast nestled deep within the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon. As one of the oldest First Men houses in the Vale, they carved out their dominion by conquering the cliffs, valleys, and waterways along the Bellsong rivers and lakes. Their command of these vital waters gave them both wealth and leverage, ensuring the loyalty of their vassals who relied on the rivers to trade and survive. Alongside the Royces, they are counted among the most powerful of the First Men kingdoms of mountain and vale.

King Edmund Belmore inherited his title at five and twenty, following a lineage of warrior kings with steel in their blood. Edmund, however, led not with the sword but with a silver tongue. Charismatic and sharp witted, he preserved the peace of his realm through diplomacy and personal charm, favouring festivals and longhouse visits over war councils. But peace may not endure. The Andals, newly settled in the lowlands surrounding Strongsong, threaten the ancient ways with new gods and sharper blades.
