Gunnar Peake
Lord Gunnar Peake was the Lord of Starpike and Commander of the Marches under the rule of King Gwayne IV 'the Gods Fearing' Gardener during the Andal Invasions.

Appearance[edit]
Gunnar is lean and hard as old oak. Curly black hair tumbles around a scarred face where a leather patch covers the right eye he lost in battle. Faded sword-cuts score his cheek and brow, and tension sets his jaw.
Personality[edit]
Bold almost to recklessness, Gunnar meets peril head-on and expects the same steel from those who follow him. He is fiercely loyal to the Gardener kings yet openly scornful of rivals; arrogance and an uncompromising streak make him quick to challenge any slight. Behind the harsh veneer lies a calculating mind, forever weighing how best to strike the next blow at his ancestral foes, the Manderlys.
History[edit]
Gunnar earned his command leading raids through the passes of the Red Mountains upon Dorne. Numerous forays left him scarred and cost him an eye, but each success burnished his reputation.
The Peake–Manderly feud, older than living memory, flared anew when Gunnar succeeded his father. Seeing Marlon Manderly’s rise, Gunnar pledged to expel House Manderly from the Reach.
Gunnar would witness Mern Gardner fight for the hand of his eldest daughter Syldia against his vassal’s eldest son, Desmond Deadsing. Mern won and killed him. Afterwards, Gunnar took in the eldest son of King Gwayne IV as his ward at Starpike, and when the boy turned sixteen, they successfully raided Blackmont together.
In the Seven Years' War Gunnar Peake lead the army of the Reach. As long as he was the commander, they lost no battle. But Gunnar should not live for long. In the beginning of the campaign he died due to wounds and after that the Reach lost more and more battles and soon after the war.
Gunnar Peake is remembered as one of the fiercest warriors of House Peake.
