The Green Men are a mysterious and sacred order said to dwell upon the Isle of Faces in the middle of the Gods Eye. Their origins trace back to the Pact between the [[First Men]] and the [[Children of the Forest]], when they were entrusted with the guardianship of the isle and its weirwood grove. Shrouded in legend and secrecy, they are believed to be keepers of ancient powers, their appearance and nature the subject of both folklore and speculation. <ref>George R. R.
