Conran Qorgyle was an Andal adventurer in Dorne.

Conran Qorgyle was an Andal adventurer who hailed from a city called Arios of Ar Kon on the Andalosi coast. From obscure and humble origins, he came to lead a company of sellswords, which he eventually led over the sea to Dorne. There, he landed in the lands of the Maltrevars, Andal nobles who had built a port in the western deserts. From there, he built a mighty host of Andal emigres and First Man warriors alike, living side by side in what became the largest and best-renowned army on the peninsula. He aligned himself with the Dryland Kings of Brimstone, and eventually wed the daughter of their King Lucifer - brother to the future King Vorcan - Milona Dryland. Alongside the armies of the Brimstone, he fought the First & Second Desert War against the Daynes, Fowlers and, latterly, the Yronwoods. Despite being outnumbered, often two to one, the Scorpion Host never lost a battle. Conran would eventually be acclaimed Magnar by the western Clans of the desert coast, but he died of heatstroke while on campaign to assert their claims over the clifflands. He was succeeded by his young son, Tywald Qorgyle.
