Lord Cedric Mallister of Seagard
Arms of House Mallister. Words: 'Above the rest'

Appearance

Cedric has shoulder‑length brown hair and clear blue eyes, with a broad, muscular build.

Personality

Diligent and loyal, Cedric prizes honor and open combat over deceit. He scorns Andal warlords who burn weirwoods and force conversions, believing true leadership must rest on strength and justice, not terror. The actions of recent Andal warlords, and the suspicion that resulted from his fellow vassals of House Mudd - made him more impatient than ever to prove his loyalty and fidelity to the Hammer of Justice.

History

Born and raised at Seagard, Cedric inherited his father’s lordship over the Cape of Eagles under King Tristifer IV. Though he keeps the Faith of the Seven and speaks the Andalic tongue, he holds fast to his house’s reputation earned by open battle rather than betrayal [1].

As Andal incursions mount, Lord Cedric Mallister strives to prove that House Mallister’s loyalty and valor alone secured their lands. A seasoned warrior and steadfast bannerman, Cedric has long stood as a pillar of support to King Tristifer IV of House Mudd, with whom he shares a deep and enduring friendship. In every major conflict against Armistead Vance and his expanding Andal host, Cedric was among the first to take up arms beside his King, earning respect for both his courage and discipline in battle.

In an effort to strengthen unity among the remaining First Men kings, Cedric gave his daughter Roslin in marriage to Bastion Mooton, forging a vital alliance between the houses of Blackwood, Darklyn, Mooton, and Mudd.

Beyond the riverlands internal strife, Cedric has proven equally formidable in defending the western shores of his domain. His vigilance and leadership in repelling the Ironborn raids have safeguarded the coast for years, earning him a reputation as a tireless guardian of Seagard and its people.

Quotes by Cedric

“Those idiots think that if they torch every weirwood, carve that seven‑pointed star into their foreheads, and scream orders, they’ll be lords. There are better ways—if they’ve got the fucking brains to try.” ― Cedric Mallister to a knight about his opinion to the new Andal warbands.

Quotes about Cedric

“That fool must’ve lost his head while killing Ironborn. No worries—we’ll knock some sense into him soon.” ― thoughts of Lord Armistead Vance.
