== Appearance ==

Tommen Plumm was a fine looking young man in his prime, wearing the colorful and complex garments associated with his house, he had strong Lannister features passed down by his mother. In old age Tommen became shriveled and his hair of gold turned white, though he kept a wise and confident demeanor.

A meek and pious man, avoiding confrontation and direct action. He was a learned man and scholar, adopting the written language of the andals and using it in his duties as Steward.

== History ==

Known for his shy and cautious temperament, Tommen avoided direct confrontation, instead exerting influence through the introduction of Andal methods of calculation and written contracts to his lands. With the support of the Faith of the Seven — whose septons were among the few literate men of the realm — he established a scriptorium within the septs to teach basic writing to select nobles and to produce official parchments. 

His Sept School, taught second sons of house Plumm how to rule a realm and third sons to bring the Word and Law of the Seven, in some form or another many of the houses sworn to the Plumms have also benefitted from this patronage.

These documents, authenticated by Tommens personal gold signet ring and stored at his Lannisport estate, The Ledgerhold, carried significant legal and religious authority despite resistance from traditionalist First Men merchants, which preferred oral agreements bound by Honor and transactions based on bartering. While the king tolerated his methods due to their benefit to the Faith and the royal coffers, some magnars were unsettled by the growing power of the written word in commerce and were increasingly irritated by a "Merchant Noble" who rather sought coin than to earn his worth on the Battlefield like a First man or Andal magnar ought to.

Tommen supported the Prince Henly Vance during the Riverland Crisis of Succession, the Prince claimed the Seven Ordained him king despite the andal tradition of the first born. Tommen, a deeply religious man saw Prince Henly as a just King of the faith and a steadfast ally, promptly declaring for his cause. King Tybolt Lannister supported the rightful heir to the throne and ordered House Plumm to stand down. Tommen Plumm ignored these orders, marching alongside Henly Vance into a timely defeat, afterwards he was stripped of his title as Keeper of the Royal Treasury ending 30 years of loyal service, he retained his position as Royal Architect.
