Throst Fisher is King of [[House Fisher]], current ruler of Misty Isle and last sovereign of a once‑mighty line in [[the Riverlands]].

== Appearance ==  
Throst is a lean, elderly man with weather‑worn skin and a high, receding forehead. His grey hair is cropped short at the sides, and he wears a neatly trimmed moustache. He often leans on a carved wooden staff when not playing his flute.

== Personality ==  
Fond of music and good company, Throst prefers songs and people around him than any involvement in conflict. In comparison to his late brothers, he is not an ideal ruler.

== History ==  
In the Age of Heroes, House Fisher once claimed the title [[The_Riverlands|''Kings of the Rivers and Hills'']], ruling from Misty Isle at the mouth of the Blackwater Rush. Over centuries they defended their shores against [[Mountain_and_Vale|Vale]] hill clans, Ironborn raiders, and [[Storm King]] invasions, until the [[Mudd|Mudds]] finally displaced them. <ref>George R. Throst inherited the lordship from his long‑reigning father. His brother, Adrek, served for a time as Lord Commander of the [[Night's Watch]]. With no surviving sons and only daughters as heirs, Throst's line teeters on the brink of obscuri
ty as neighbouring lords eye Misty Isle for easy plunder.

In the end, old Throst decided to marry his eldest daughter, Danisa, to his nephew Gelmar, thus ensuring that the Fisher name would endure. Later, when an Andal named Jaime Farring came to Misty Island and asked for Masha’s hand in marriage—offering, in return, to protect them in the event of an attack and to regard them as allies—the old Fisher King accepted the proposal.
