He sent a mission north, to the Storm King who had humbled his father in battle, and successfully made peace with the [[Durrandons]]. He sent another delegation south, to the Greenblood, but unbeknownst to him, [[Willem Wade]]'s council had already resolved to march on Yronwood and retake the disputed Scourge.
