Justin sent the messenger back half-blinded, and with an insult, and war broke out immediately. Erich would march on Benthill Dale, intending to take the keep and move northwards. However Justin would march to the hills north of Erich, drawing the Stag King out, and routing his army there. Erich would return, depleted, and would again be defeated outside the walls of the Dale, with much of his army lost to the Masseys and a full retreat to [[Storm's End]] which ended the war.
