His untimely death, choking on an apple, left the keys of Oldtown, the Beacon of the South, in the untested hands of his first-born son Jonn.

He was too young for tourneys and councils, yet old enough to bear a lord’s weight.

Nevertheless, Jonn grew up, became a learned man, and married Myranda [[House Manderly|Manderly]], a daughter of [[Marlon Manderly]].

He forged a close relationship with the Gardeners over the course of his life, earning renown for strengthening the Oldtown fleet until it was powerful enough to reclaim the Arbor. During his rule he also witnessed a Great Reaving in Oldtown itself, an event that left deep scars on the city.

He would also be the on to welcome the [[House Cafferen|Cafferens]] to the Reach and many more Andals to come, which should also have influence on Oldtown and the Hightowers.
