Editing Jonn Hightower

Jonn [[House_Hightower|Hightower]], known to smallfolk as “Young Jonn”, inherited Oldtown’s beacon and burdens at only twelve years of age after his father’s sudden death.

== Appearance ==  
A small boy with a round face. Jonn has a mop of tight sandy-blond curls and keen grey eyes that study every caller.  

== Personality ==  
Curious yet willful, Young Jonn balances a child’s eagerness to explore with a lord’s prickly pride. He yearns to prove himself but is quick to bristle when advisers speak down to him. Impressionable by nature, he can swing between bold resolve and doubt, depending on which counselor last bent his ear.

== History ==  
The elder Lord Hightower was hailed throughout [[the Reach]] as a brilliant general and administrator, poised to direct the realm’s defence against [[Andal]] war-bands.  His untimely death, choking on an apple, left the keys of Oldtown, the Beacon of the South, in the untested hands of his first-born son Jonn.  

While barely past boyhood, Young Jonn confronts a storm of perils.  Andal adventurers cast hungry eyes on the fertile lands of the Reach; rival courtiers, bannermen, and even kin swarm his court, each eager to mould the child-lord to their own designs. Too young for tourneys and councils yet old enough to bear a lords weight, Jonn must choose quickly whom to trust, lest Oldtown’s famous light gutter out in the rising winds of change.
