"I was in me Ruddy Hall, with only a cask o' mead to keep me company and nothing to do but drink it. The more I drank the more I got to thinking about this woman lived close by, a fine strong woman with the biggest pair of teats you ever saw."
- A Storm of Swords[1]
Arms of House Strongmead

House Strongmead of Strongmead is a First Man house from the Dusklands. They are sworn to House Darklyn. Their seat is Strongmead, one of the largest drinking halls in Westeros.

Their arms depict a goblet on three red chevronels on white. Their words are "Stronger the Better".

History

The Strongmeads are a house of drinkers first and foremost, priding themselves on the strength of their guts and the potency of their spirits. Their mead is famed across the Blackwater with their strongest brews proving to be more than enough to knock out a horse, let alone a man. Though the prowess of a sober Strongmead is not particularly impressive, the feats of past drunken Strongmeads are nothing less than legendary.

Notable Members

  • Lord Malcolm Strongmead, head of House Strongmead during the early Andal Invasions.
