House Sorrow

The Grief is hit hardest by the kingdom's namesake storms. Great funnels dance across the land, ripping and tearing, leaving a trail that scars the very earth.

House Sorrow of the Grief is a First Man house that rules the Grief north of Storm's End. They are sworn to House Durrandon. Their seat is the Griefstower.

Their sigil depicts a wooden fort being split by a yellow thunder-bolt on storm-grey. Their words are "Shed No Tears".

History

House Sorrow is a house that is regularly ended by storms, and regularly restored by the men of the Grief. Whenever the line dies out, another of their own steps up and takes the name and words, a cultural tradition embedded in the people's commitment to resilience.
