House Ironsmith are a noble house of [[First Men|First Man]] origin from the Greyforge Hills, situated in the northern reaches of the Rills in [[The North|the North]]. Their seat is Grindstone.

== History ==

House Ironsmith are one of the few houses outside of the [[Iron Islands]] that specialise in ironworking, mostly in the forms of horseshoes. They are a relatively young house that came to land and lordship in the service of [[House Ryder]]. Their lands, the Greyforge Hills, used to be within the [[Kingdom of the Amberwood]] during the early [[Age of Heroes]], before being claimed by the Ryder Kings.
