Urron Greyiron would go on to oversee the most successful period of Ironborn history in generations. Under his rule, the Ironborn took control of Fair Isle, the Arbor, ~~and~~ Bear Island.

Under his rule, the Ironborn took control of Fair Isle, the Arbor, Bear Island, and the Shield Isles (which were promptly given their original name - the Misty Isles). A separate branch of the house would be created on [[House Greyiron of Fair Isle|Fair Isle]], which took the [[Grey King|Grey King's]] wife as their sigil. By the end of his long life, Urron recognized that the Andals posed a great threat to future Ironborn success.

Urron was succeeded by his son, [[Urek Greyiron]]. His rule was marked by several failures. The Arbor rebelled, and the Iron Fleet was defeated in multiple attempts to reclaim the island. The [[Giant's Fist]] also stopped paying tribute or interacting with men from the home isles, effectively declaring their independence.

Ultimately, Urek's rule was cut short after only seven years during an accident in his council chamber which left him dead. His son [[Erich Greyiron|Erich]] being only a young man, and the great captains being disappointed with thew state of the isles, led to the reintroduction of the Kingsmoot.

After the Kingsmoot returned, Greyirons and the men of Orkmont still played an important role in Ironborn exploits.
