House Farring is a young [[Andals|Andal]] house of knightly origin, founded by the twin brothers Jaime and Argos Farring after their arrival in Westeros, now established in [[the Riverlands]] with their seat at Milkstone by the God's Eye.

Before the campaign began, he drowned under unclear circumstances. His son Throst Farring took command but chose peace over bloodshed.

Tristifer, having learned that Jaime had offered to fight for Vance, was deeply wounded. Yet with Jaime dead and Throst peaceful, he spared the house, on the condition that young Loras Farring be sent to Oldstones as a ward. There, Loras was raised alongside his kin, learning the ways of the First Men. In time, he came of age and was knighted by Lord Meros [[House Mallister|Mallister]].
