Editing House Blanetree

House Blanetree are a House of First Men origin from the [[The_Riverlands|Western Riverlands]]. Their seat is Stoney Holdfast.

== History ==
When no adult male heir remained, Sonya Blanetree, then barely past her coming-of-age, assumed leadership of her house, a rarity for the time. Trained by the martial Hill Clans of [[the Westerlands]] and hardened by the harsh realities of the Trident borderlands, she proved herself a capable warrior and strategist. Under her command, Stoney Holdfast held firm against raiders and rival lords, earning her the respect of her household and even her younger brothers, who left her in charge of their lands. 

Though she has never married and seeks no further conquest, Sonya’s priority remains the protection of her people and the preservation of Blanetree sovereignty.  

She drew the ire of [[Armistead Vance]] and his host after refusing to bend the knee and ordering the death of his envoy, Ser Raymond [[House_Paege|Paege]], sending back his head with a warning not to set foot in her lands.

She and Rowan [[House Piper|Piper]] entered into an alliance and together opposed Armistead Vance when he turned against them, but they soon lost the battle. Sonya Blanetree was beheaded, quartered, and her remains were sent to the four corners of Vance’s new lands, while the rest of her family met their end by the sword. Thus, House Blanetree was no more.
