House Bartheld

House Bartheld are a noble house of Andal origin, situated in the Blackwater Marches. Their seat is Stoutkeep, formerly the royal seat of Hogg Hall.

History

House Bartheld took service with the Darklyn Kings of Duskendale during the First Century A.I., playing a key role in the subjugation of the troublesome Hogg Kings of Hogg Hall. In recognition of their service, they were granted the lands and vassals of House Hogg. House Bartheld would involve themselves in the struggle for the throne in 102 A.I., fighting on behalf of Gaston Darklyn, the candidate favoured by the Andals due to his practicing of their Faith.
