House Bartheld took service with the Darklyn Kings of Duskendale during the First Century A.I., playing a key role in the subjugation of the troublesome Hogg Kings of Hogg Hall. In recognition of their service, they were granted the lands and vassals of House Hogg. House Bartheld changed their arms to reflect their new station, echoing their predecessors. Stevyn Darklyn, the eldest son of Titus, was also married to the daughter of the last Hogg king.
